Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Kimera, every vehicle wrap is a custom service that requires dedicated materials, preparation, labour, and scheduling. Because of the custom nature of our services, the following Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all vinyl wrap projects.

1. Cancellations Before Materials Are Ordered

Customers may request to cancel their appointment before project-specific materials have been ordered.

Where applicable, eligible payments may be refunded, subject to any clearly disclosed non-refundable booking, design, or administrative fees.

Once materials have been ordered specifically for your vehicle or project, the material portion of the payment becomes non-refundable, as these materials may have been custom-selected, ordered, cut, or otherwise committed specifically for your vehicle.

2. Cancellations After Materials Have Been Ordered

Once project-specific vinyl or other materials have been ordered, we do not provide refunds for the cost of those materials.

If you cancel after materials have been ordered, we may, at our discretion, retain the material for a reasonable period and reschedule the installation, or provide a credit toward a future appointment.

Any refund offered in these circumstances will be limited to amounts that have not already been committed to materials, completed work, or other non-refundable project costs.

3. No Refunds for Change of Mind

Because vehicle wraps are custom services and materials are often purchased specifically for each vehicle, we do not provide refunds simply because a customer changes their mind about:

The selected colour or finish
The vinyl brand or material
The design or appearance after approval
The vehicle's final appearance compared with the customer's expectations
Deciding not to proceed after project-specific materials have been ordered

Customers are encouraged to review and confirm their selected colour, finish, design, and service details before materials are ordered.

4. Installation Quality & Our Responsibility

We take pride in our workmanship and make every reasonable effort to complete each installation to a professional standard.

If a problem is determined to have been caused clearly and unequivocally by our negligence, improper installation, or failure to follow appropriate installation procedures, we will take responsibility for correcting the affected area.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

Reinstalling or replacing affected vinyl
Replacing damaged trim or vehicle components
Correcting installation-related defects
Covering reasonable repair or replacement costs directly resulting from our negligence

Our preferred remedy for an installation-related issue is to correct the affected work, rather than automatically issuing a full refund.

A full or partial refund may be considered when the issue cannot reasonably be corrected or when we determine that a refund is an appropriate resolution.

5. Risks Inherent to the Vinyl Wrapping Process

Vinyl wrapping is a specialized installation process that involves working directly on the vehicle's exterior surfaces and, depending on the vehicle and the scope of the installation, may require the removal and reinstallation of trim, emblems, lights, handles, mirrors, mouldings, or other components.

The installation process may also involve the controlled use of professional cutting tools and knives around vehicle panels and edges.

While we take appropriate precautions and use professional installation techniques, certain inherent risks cannot be completely eliminated.

These risks may include, but are not limited to:

Minor marks associated with normal installation procedures
Wear or breakage of clips, fasteners, or aged trim components during removal or reinstallation
Damage to pre-existing or weakened paint
Paint lifting from previously repaired, repainted, or poorly bonded surfaces
Exposure of pre-existing scratches, dents, chips, rust, corrosion, or other underlying defects
Damage to aftermarket or improperly installed components
Differences in adhesion or finish caused by the condition of the underlying surface

These conditions do not automatically constitute negligence or qualify for a refund.

Where a component is damaged as a direct result of our negligence or improper handling, we will make reasonable efforts to repair or replace the affected component.

6. Pre-Existing Damage and Vehicle Condition

Before beginning work, customers are responsible for informing Kimera of any known previous repairs, repainting, paint defects, body damage, aftermarket modifications, or other conditions that could affect the installation.

Vinyl adheres to the condition of the underlying surface. Existing defects may remain visible through the vinyl or may become more apparent after installation.

Kimera cannot guarantee the condition of paint, trim, adhesive surfaces, or vehicle components that are already damaged, weakened, improperly repaired, or otherwise compromised before installation.

7. Manufacturer Defects

If a vinyl material is determined to have a genuine manufacturing defect, the issue will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Where applicable, material warranty claims may also be subject to the warranty terms and conditions established by the vinyl manufacturer.

8. Customer-Requested Changes

Changes requested after the customer has approved the selected material, design, or installation specifications may result in additional material and labour charges.

Such changes do not qualify for a refund of materials that have already been ordered or used.

9. Final Inspection

Customers are encouraged to inspect their vehicle with a Kimera representative upon completion of the installation.

Any concerns should be reported to us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can assess the issue and, where appropriate, provide a solution.

10. Our Commitment

Our goal is not simply to install vinyl, but to provide a professional experience and a finished product that our customers are proud of.

If something goes wrong as a direct result of our workmanship or negligence, we will make it right.

At the same time, customers acknowledge that vinyl wrapping is a specialized installation process involving materials, tools, vehicle disassembly, and working with existing vehicle surfaces, and that certain risks and limitations are inherent to the process.
